IMPAC University:

The other example of a web application is one that we (Brister Software) recently completed. It is for IMPAC University. IMPAC University wanted a web application to manage and distribute press Releases, from the University and other associated organizations. The project had been started but was incomplete. They hired Brister Software Inc. to complete the application, and recently we did just that. These are the features of the system. Unfortunately, you cannot actually see the operations of this application because it is private. Only offices of the University, Integrated Control Systems, Inc. and other related entities have access to this system It is secure, you have to have a login and a password in order to get into it. The site does have a public face, however, at http://www.press.impacu.edu. You are, of course, free to have a look at this.

  • There is a facility for administrators to approve the submitted contacts.
  • All authorized personnel can add a Press Release.
  • Press releases also must be approved.
  • Then an authorized person can send the releases. The system then sends a nicely formatted email to each of the contacts that are with the selected target.
The application runs on a web server at the university. It is accessible from anywhere in the world by any computer with an internet connection and a browser.The applications enables the IMPAC group to keep track of their Press Releases, to recall old one, to make sure that each is sent, and not sent twice and the like. Integrated Control Systems, Inc. has representatives all over the world. The web applications offers them tremendous convenience because of its accessibility. The application saves them a tremendous amount of time because it automatically sends the emails to hundreds of contacts with one click.

I am sure that the phrase and which may be accessed by any computer, anywhere in the world, through a web browser” did not go unnoticed.Let's say that there is a heavy clerical content in each of your sales, a lot of documentation.
